Shopping in the Era of AI: A Conversation with Julie Bornstein

Julie Bornstein,

The Baker Retailing Center had the pleasure of co-hosting an exciting conversation with Julie Bornstein, Co-founder & CEO of Daydream, along with the Wharton Graduate Retail & Consumer Club, Marketing Club and Wharton Beauty Club.

Daydream recently raised $50M in seed funding from Forerunner, Index, and others to create a cutting-edge AI-powered shopping platform.

Julie brings a wealth of experience as Co-founder and CEO of The Yes (acquired by Pinterest), former COO of Stitch Fix, CMO of Sephora, and Head of E-commerce at Nordstrom. She also serves on the boards of Sweetgreen, WeightWatchers, and Redfin.

INSIGHT FROM JULIE:

On the Impact of Building a Powerful Network:

“There’s so many reasons to join a company before starting your own, one of them is to learn the industry from the inside because it gives you such an advantage, but the other is to start building your network of people in the space.”
