SAKS INCORPORATED

Saks Fifth Avenue was started in 1924 by Horace Saks and Bernard Gimbel, who imagined a store "synonymous with gracious, fashionable living".  After expansion throughout the 20th century, the company has come to be known as a leading authority on modern style and is constantly looking for ways to increase the merchandise, service quality and selection.  The company merged with Profitt's, Inc. in 1998 and became known as Saks Incorporated.  The company now operates Saks Fifth Avenue Enterprises (consisting of all Saks Fifth Avenues, saks.com, and Off Fifth stores) and Club Libby Lu stores.
