PHILLIPS-VAN HEUSEN CORPORATION

Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation started in the early 1900s as a menswear company producing mainly shirts and shoes, the latter under G.H. Bass and Co.  The company slowly began to work with a wider variety of companies, including Jack's IZOD, a tailor in London, and with marketing efforts from celebrities in the 1950s like Ronald Reagan, as well as a line of pique polos from tennis player Renee Lacoste, expansion was rapid.  In the past few decades the company's portfolio has grown to encompass both menswear and women's apparel, and includes such brands as IZOD, Calvin Klein, and Kenneth Cole and DKNY Designer Dress Shirts.
