Founded in 1890, M.H. Alshaya Co. has become synonymous with trade and commerce in the Middle East.  Originally oriented in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, the company has expanded to operate throughout the Middle East, Turkey, Cyprus, Russia, Poland, Egypt, Czech Republic and Slovakia.  Furthermore, in the 1960s the company began a massive growth phase, entering into the real estate, construction, hotel, and automotive sectors before joining retail players with its launch of the Mothercare brand in 1983.  With a mission to operate international brands to the highest standards and maintain profitable international partnerships, M.H. Alshaya Co. is the foremost retailer in the Middle East.
