- An Overview of Abercrombie & Fitch
Abercrombie & Fitch is an American lifestyle and brand company focusing on casual, stylish apparel and accessories for younger consumers. It was founded in 1892 by David Abercombie as an outdoor and sporting goods retailer, but repositioned itself in the 1980s as a "casual luxury" lifestyle brand. The company now manages a portfolio of 5 brands, each directed at a slightly different customer segment, but all still maintaining the same sexy, youthful brand image. Abercrombie & Fitch currently operates stores across the United States and has recently made the move to expand overseas into both Europe and Asia.
